Who is all ready for the Super Bowl this year? I know I am. Between working and being a full-time college student, I haven't been consistently watching football this season, however, I always get excited for the Super Bowl. I am especially excited this year because the New England Patriots are in the game this year! Most people get upset about this because the Pats always seem to be in the Super Bowl and seem to win "too much."
This Super Bowl is redemption from last year. When the Pats lost last year, it got me pretty upset. It didn't help that almost my entire school was happy that the Pats lost. This year is our year. Not only are The Patriots going to win this year, but Tom Brady will win his sixth Super Bowl! That is a win for the Pats and a win for all Pats fans.
Every team has their off year or an important game that is messed up because the refs need to get their eyes checked. (I'm looking at you New Orleans Saints) The best Super Bowl is when people are so mad, because the opposing team beat their team to the Super Bowl, that they root for your team simply out of spite. The Patriots have not won every Super Bowl they have been in, but I'm praying that they win this one.
They need to win this game, not just for us Patriots fans, but for all the fans who hate the Rams. We are all counting on a win from the Patriots. The Patriots and their fans receive "hate" because they win "too much." Is that not the point of being a great and successful team? Isn't that what the coaches are being paid for? To make a successful team? I understand not liking a team because they are the rival of your team.
That makes sense. But hating on a team because they know how to consistently win, makes no sense. Tom Brady is the G. O. A. T. For those of you who don't know what that means, it stands for Greatest of All Time. Yes, he makes mistakes, has off games and even offseasons, but overall he is a great football quarterback. In addition to being a Patriots fan, one thing I am super excited about for the Super Bowl is watching my eight-year-old brother experience it.
He is a huge and I mean HUGE, Patriots fan. We're talking, knows everything about NFL football, watches play by play videos of the Pats, and has a ton of Patriots jerseys, hats, etc. Seeing him crushed and super disappointed when the Patriots lose to the Steelers, makes me want the Patriots to win Super Bowl LIII all the more. I want them to win for me as a fan but even more so, for him because I don't want to experience what he will be like if they lose. Much less experience what four of my other brothers will be like if we lose. New England Patriots for the WIN!
