Everybody's favorite sea-faring starfish will always have a special place in our childhood memories…but what if I told you he's even more relatable to us now? That's right - Patrick Star gets you when it comes to all of your college student shenanigans. And here are 15 college moments explained perfectly by our pink friend that might very well show you how closely you align with him after all:

1. When you come home to a bunch of your roommate's friends at your place

2. When you decide to enjoy some alone time in your room on a Friday night

3. When the university tells you it's time for your tuition payment

4. When your parents nag you about not having a job on campus, so you try to convince them that you actually enjoy being broke

5. When you see a hot person and try to be discrete about checking them out

6. When your professor asks you whether or not you're paying attention when you clearly aren't

7. When things are going well for you and your crush and they invite you back to their place

8. When you get some alone time with bae and you try to be seductive

9. When someone tries to ask why you have such bad habits and why you haven't fixed them yet

10. When you're drunk and fooling around and don't understand why your friends are so worried you're going to hurt yourself

11. When you're so eager to show off your new dance moves that you can't even wait until you're at the club

12. When you lock yourself out of your room at 3 AM and are desperate to try anything to get your door open

13. When you come home for break and get your first taste of home cooking in months

14. When your parents ask you if you've gained any weight over the course of the semester and you get defensive

15. When you spend the night with that cute boy or cute girl you met at the party, but they leave before you wake up

This was Patrick Star at his finest, ladies and gents. I bet you won't be able to look upon this cartoon the same way ever again.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
