I wouldn't change it for the world, but being a pastor's kid comes with a lot of assumptions and experiences. Some are typical and everyone knows about them, while some are unique and are only understood by those in the same shoes.
1. Expected to be overly "rebellious."
Not all of us live on the wild side to compensate for more restrictions in our lives.
2. Expected to be "perfect."
On the other hand, we are not perfect and will make mistakes like everyone else.
3. "Oh, you must know everything about the Bible."
Not exactly.
4. Your family takes a nap all at once after church.
5. Missing church is just not an option.
Not unless you are hospitalized.
6. You've been to so many church camps you lost count.
7. Talking to other PKs and just getting each other.
8. You are expected to go up and greet everyone.
9. There are Bible verses that are just engraved in your brain.
10. You catch your name in your parent's sermon.
Yes, please talk about my personal life in front of all these people.
