Everyone has there own dreams. We live every day with a passion for something, whether it be to write, make movies, or even become a professional makeup artist. As a toddler every little girl asks for lip gloss, or the bright colorful eye-shadow we could just decorate our faces with. Well, that little toddler was me. Makeup isn't only based off the "beauty" it's the definition of art. Whether it be for yourself or for characters in a play/movie.

My dream isn't just another small dream, it's a dream I am willing to fight for, a dream I am willing to risk everything to become. Growing up the only way to learn is watching others. As I became an adolescence I started to watch tutorials on YouTube, I started to try these new things on others. I would sit in my room for hours just doing my own makeup, whether it be failing and having to redo it all over again, or simply just doing what I love. I would walk around the house in heels with my hottest makeup just pretending to be someone I dream of.

I remember starting off with cheap ten dollar brushes, and a knock off brand of eye-shadow just to do my makeup everyday. My collection has started to grow, every time there's a new product I want to try it. I have favorite artists too, and as soon as they sell something you bet I am at Sephora, or MAC waiting in line for it. I guess you can say it's an obsession, but it's an obsession I am willing to do for the rest of my life. It takes time and money to get where you want to be.

Why do I want to be a makeup artist?

To sit down and be asked to do someone else's makeup is an honor, but it's also a learning experience for yourself. You learn everyone's different skin type compared to your own, you learn the different shapes of their faces, and you definitely get the amazing opportunity to communicate with them about their likes and dislikes of makeup. Who wouldn't want that kind of job!?

Of course I dream of my own cosmetics, of course I dream of my own company, but more importantly, I dream of working for one. I want to do it all, costume make up, from monsters, to fashion shows, to little girls, to superheroes. If I am doing your makeup, then I am getting to know you as a person as well.

Not everyone may get the dream they want, and that's okay too. If I never become a Professional, then I will continue to blog about my passion for it, I will continue to do other people's makeup, and simply do what I love best. They say to make a difference out of life, but to do something for the rest of your life that will make you continue to love it everyday.

It's a different dream, but it's a dream anyone can get too if you try.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
