As a student, sometimes college life might be too overwhelming. There is always something happening left and right, and most of the time, you can get distracted with a lot of things. However, I believe that being a college student should motivate himself/herself to be more self-aware because with each and every decision comes consequences, whether good or bad.
Transitioning from high school to college was a struggle for me and most can agree with that. One way I can be more be on top of things is to set goals for the day and create a list of things I need to get done. Many college students use their planners, but sometimes who even looks back at it?
Many people say that college is the best four years of your life. But honestly, why can all the years of your life be the best years of your life? There have been times where I put studying aside and go out because sometimes it's hard to say no to your friends. However, through personal experiences, I put studying as my top priority and I reward myself by going out.
Not many people have this problem at all, but there are students out there do struggle with time management. Have you ever seen this?
I personally do not believe this is true. There have been so many times where I always tell myself that I do not have enough time to do one thing. However, I know I do, it is just the way I use my time is what makes the difference.
College MAY be the best four years of your life, but if no one takes those four years seriously, after college might sound scary. I remember last semester I had five essays due in less than a week and I had not started on them. My friends, on the other hand, asked me if I wanted to go out with them that weekend. I wanted to so I spent three full days going straight to the library to study and work on my papers after classes.
It is kind of funny that many people say they have no time to do it, but after experiencing that stress, it is ALWAYS possible. It is whether you are willing to be productive and be the best version of yourself as you can.
Just remember that you are in college to get a degree, not to go on a party-spree.
