These four stores will end your search for a dress in record time. Good luck!
1. Amazon
Amazon Fashion has come a long way in recent years. You will find brands that are exclusive to Amazon, and brands you might see in a department store. Whether you’re familiar with the brand you’re buying into or not, reading reviews on the item before buying is key. Be careful with the size charts that the sellers provide- a lot of them are general size charts that do not correspond to the pieces you’re looking at.
As far as shipping goes, Amazon Prime specifically will get the dress in your hands within the next 48 hours. If you have any specific qualms about sizing, you can try to reach out to Amazon Customer Support, or use the "Fit As Expected" section on each listing as a guide.
2.Target
Target never fails as far as the one-stop shop for all types of trendy party dresses. They are super size-inclusive and tend to have a mix of different styles, from casual to semi-formal. What I like about Target is how quick their style cycles are. Every month, it seems like Target is bringing in new apparel. (I'm not sure what the cadence is, but it's more often than just four times a year).
With prints between $20-$40, this is a good choice if you do not want to shop online. With plus size, women's and junior’s sections defined, you are more than likely able to find “the dress”. What clothing shoppers and bloggers love about Target is the quality and the fashion-forward forwardness of most of their pieces.
Fashion brands such as Who What Wear and Xhiliration deliver a wide range of fashion-forward styles for women of all shapes and sizes. You'll for sure find a variety of lengths, colors, and patterns that can meet different needs.
3. Rainbow
If you’ve never been to a Rainbow Store, I encourage you to go! You'll find a dress in a store like this if you need something that's nicer-than-casual, or maybe even business casual. (You won't find formal or semi-formal at this store). Like Target, plus sizes are available. Rainbow is full of trendy fashions for teenagers and young adults. Many of these fashions are form-fitting or light fabrics that flatter the body.
You'll find maxis, high-low dresses, deep necklines and plenty high-low splits. Many of these styles can be layered up with cardigans (which they also have). My personal favorites are their knit skirts made from a high-quality material that looks great on all body types.
4. Forever 21
Forever21 has stepped up their game in recent years! Their plus size section is fantastic. Speaking from personal experience, some brands that have plus size clothing do not take into consideration a figure where one part of the body might be larger in proportion to the others, like wide hips (even if the rest of the body is slim).
Or curvy arms for example (even if the lower body is smaller). I've had the best success with Forever21 clothing, and now that they have Plus Sizes, the problem that most of their clothing runs small is now fixed. With that being said, Forever21 is definitely a place where you'll find the most variety.
What I love about Forever21 the most is the broad range of styles represented. What I also love is that the store is as robust as the website. You'll find plenty of variety. With the constant markdowns they have, you'll definitely find something quick that's high-quality and in your budget.
The best thing about this list is, if you live in the Philadelphia area like I do, all of these stores, minus Amazon, are in close reach. What are your favorite stores to shop at when you need something quick?
