Warm Weather As Told By 'Parks And Recreation'

Michigan is crazy when it comes to figuring out what is going on with the weather. One week its raining, then it's snowing and then it's 75 degrees out. Now that the weather seems to be staying consistently warm, getting excited and sitting outside is a common theme on college campuses. Warm weather is coming our way, and this is how it goes down.

1. Look at the temperature for the week and realize that the weather is getting warmer.

2. When you wake up the next morning and it actually is warm

3. Contemplating if you're going to wear shorts or something else to keep you warm just in case it randomly rains.

4. Do you drive or walk to your destinations today because of the warmth?

5. Every house and apartment you pass has people sitting outside basking in the sun and all its glory.

6. After seeing an abundance of people outside, you decide to have a relaxing day out in the sun.

7. Not wearing sunscreen? This became a really bad decision because now you're fried to a crisp.

8. Oh well, staying in the sun was definitely worth the burn.

9. Okay, now you've decided you need to crank out all the homework you've gotten behind on today.

10. But you can't help starting outside at everyone having fun.

11. Forget it, you can come back to responsibilities tomorrow — or next week.

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
