Even though the NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation" aired its series finale just over a year ago, the cast of characters from Pawnee, Indiana still holds an important place in our hearts. Leslie Knope and company showed us that government (and even accounting) can be fun, but more importantly, they showed us friendship. Pawnee may be fourth in obesity, but they are first in friendship, and this is everything "Parks and Recreation"taught us about friendship.
1. Weird compliments are important.
Leslie's compliments to Ann are always the best, no matter how weird they are.
2. Normal compliments are important too.
3. Supporting your friend's ideas is important.
Even if it's not literally the greatest idea ever.
4. Friends help friends understand the internet.
There's always something new to learn.
5. They remind you to treat yo self.
6. Friends who sing together, stay together.
7. Caring is important.
Even Craig knows the importance of friendship, even if he is from rival Eagleton.
8. They know what food cheers you up.
9. Friends care about your love life.
10. And when you do find love, friends still come first.
11. Support is important, no matter how ridiculous it seems.
12. No, really. No matter how ridiculous.
13. Friends tell you about their bad dates to make you feel better about yours.
14. They'll even help you conquer your fear of bad first dates.
15. Friends trust each other with secrets.
16. They'll help you find your dream job.
17. They look out for your health.
18. Friends will do weird things with you. Always.
It's true. Pawnee really is first in friendship.
