The 'Parks And Rec' Characters As Zodiac Signs

Say whatever you want about horoscopes and zodiac signs, but you have to admit they're pretty entertaining to read up on. 'Parks and Recreation' has an incredibly interesting and distinct set of characters, which makes identifying their zodiac signs a fun waste of time.

Aries- Leslie Knope

What does the common Aries and Leslie Knope have in common? They're both confident, motivated, and optimistic. While Leslie's tenacity can be overwhelming from time to time, her ambition and ability to achieve each and every one of her goals makes her an admirable character.

Taurus- Ron Swanson

Ron is like a bull: stubborn and defiant yet down-to-earth and honest. Like a Taurus, Ron stands by what he believes in and does not give in to pressure, displaying his strong sense of will power.

Gemini- Craig Middlebrooks

Gemini's tend to be impulsive, indecisive, and enthusiastic, and there is no character that displays these traits better than Craig Middlebrooks. Craig may be one of the most frightening characters on the show, but that's just because his mind is racing with ideas and he can't help but let his enthusiasm slip out every once in a while.

Cancer- Chris Traeger

Cancer's are known for being emotional, sensitive, sentimental and loving, and Chris is a sweetheart and a man of many emotions- which sometimes can get the best of him.

Leo- Tom Haverford

Tom is the complete embodiment of a Leo; he is funny, passionate, and energetic with just a hint of arrogance and self-centeredness. The co-creator of 'Treat Yo Self', Tom knows how to have fun and live lavishly while also achieving his goals.

Virgo- Jerry Gergich

Jerry is a Virgo, no doubt. Hardworking and kind yet shy and soft-spoken, Jerry becomes the butt of every joke at work yet remains true to himself and continues (failing) at his job.

Libra- Donna Meagle

The Libra to Tom's Leo, Donna shares many traits of the Lion while also remaining charming, tactful and level-headed. Donna can come off as detached and superficial from time to time, but she's always there for her friends when they really need her.

Scorpio- April Ludgate

April, who tends to give off satanic vibes from time to time, is the representation of a true Scorpio. Scorpio's are known for being mysterious, tactical, and intuitive- traits we often see in April. Though she comes off as dark and puzzling, she lets her soft and loving side show to those she truly cares about.

Sagittarius- Andy Dwyer

Andy is a loving, funny and outgoing guy, making him the Sagittarius in the group. His carelessness and inconsistency when completing tasks are due to his need for adventure and fun at all times.

Capricorn- Ben Wyatt

Realistic, practical, and sensitive, Ben Wyatt is the complete opposite of Leslie Knope, and an accurate representation of a typical Capricorn. Ben's level-headedness and strong sense of reality can sometimes place him in a realm that is quite different from the rest of his co-workers, but his love for his people and his job are what always bring him back.

Aquarius- Orin

Orin gives off major Aquarius vibes. Aloof, independent, and unique, this weirdo remains a mystery on 'Parks and Rec'.

Pisces- Ann Perkins

Not only is Ann a rainbow infused space unicorn, but she is also an intuitive, wise, and gentle pisces. The fact that she is a nurse and tends to be the nurturing friend in the group plays into the compassionate and selfless side of her zodiac.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
