10 Reasons Why Being A Carolina Panthers Fan Rocks

I am from Charlotte, North Carolina. I was born and raised in the Queen City, which has taught me many things. But I think the best thing about being born and raised in Charlotte would be being a Panther’s fan. I have been a Panther’s fan since I was a baby and I am the type of fan that still wears her Panther’s sweatshirt after a loss.

Here is why being a Panther’s fan is my favorite.

We play in Charlotte.

Charlotte is a beautiful city -- especially during football season.

Panther blue everywhere.

During each home game that is held at night, all of the surrounding buildings are lit up in a beautiful Panther blue color. Each touchdown the lights just flash and it’s amazing.

Have you seen Luke Kuechly?

The way he sacks people is amazing. According to the Nfl website, Kuechly has completed a total of 371 tackles in his career.

Sir Purr kills it.

Our mascot is the coolest. There is no arguing.

The Top Cats, anyone?

The Top Cats are also amazing.

Two words: Cam Newton.

According to the official NFL website, Cam Newton has completed 35 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and ran 3,837 yards in his career.

Panther tailgates.

Panther rallies and tailgates are the best. They are loud, fun and crazy.

Everyone loves to ‘Dab on em.’

We even have our grandmas dabbin' on y’all.

Die-hard fans.

Real Panther’s fans are the die hard fans. They have the original 1992 sweatshirts and wear the older jerseys all the time.

KEEP POUNDING.

Our motivational phrase “KEEP POUNDING” actually means something more. On the Panther’s website, it gives a detailed reason for our mantra. Carolina Panther player and coach, Sam Mills, always used the phrase in his speeches. Now it means so much more to so many more people because we all need to keep pounding.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help.
