I think it’s ridiculous what our country is being turned in to. First, we let men marry men and women marry women. Now, we are letting men in the women’s bathroom and women in the men’s bathroom. And if that isn’t enough, we are now talking about creating a “gender neutral” bathroom just to satisfy the less than 1 percent of people out there who actually identify?
Please someone tell me why we are going to all of this trouble in order to satisfy the less than 1 percent of people who identify. And please someone tell me why we are using the phrases physical gender and gender identity interchangeably. Someone’s gender is the parts (male part or female part) that they are born with. Someone’s gender identity is the gender (male or female) that they feel like they relate to the most. If you were born with male sexual organs, you are male. If you were born with female sex organs, you are female.
This person the media keeps calling “Caitlyn Jenner” is a man. There is nothing female about him. Sure, you can add breasts, hair, makeup and “alter” all the stuff that’s going on downstairs, but doctors are not God, nor will they ever be. God intended for Bruce Jenner to be a man, and no matter what anyone does, Bruce Jenner will always be a man.
North Carolina State Governor Forest has it right when he talked about the school bathrooms within their state when he said,
“North Carolina will not stand by and let our locker rooms and high school showers be used for social experimentation at the expense of the privacy and protection of our young boys and girls. I do not think it is appropriate for teenage boys and girls to share the same bathroom. I don’t think it appropriate for teenage boys and girls to shower next to each other. I don’t think it is appropriate for male coaches and male teachers to have access to girls’ locker rooms and showers while the young girls are naked and exposed.”
Although I do disagree when he focuses on the girls. I feel that although it isn’t nearly as common, men have just as much a chance to be raped or taken advantage of as women. Although it isn’t nearly as common, it can still happen. It could happen to anyone.
Everyone who keeps throwing a fit because people are worried about sexual predators in the bathrooms … seriously? Just because someone doesn’t “identify” as transgender does not mean that they can’t pretend to. Now, instead of being able to file lawsuits against these creeps, they can get away with it, because no one wants to hurt the transgender people’s feelings. What’s next? Are we going to make bestiality legal, and say that there’s no such thing as pedophilia? Before you know it, there won’t be an age for drinking, and our 10-year-olds will be able to get married without parent permission. Once this country made gay marriage legal, they opened up Pandora’s Box for things to happen.
Everyone wants to say that this country isn’t a Christian nation, but then why do we say “One Nation under God” and have “In God We Trust” written on our currency. Why do we make people swear on the bible in court? We are under A GOD, not multiple gods. It doesn’t say “One Nation under Gods.” You can’t alter what The Bible says. Who is anyone compared to God to change his word?
We need to respect those who live different lifestyles than us, but it does not mean that we have to change our laws to appease them. If we did that with everyone, it would be better to have no laws at all. It comes to a point where enough is enough. And we are past that point. I leave you with this final thought, and hope that you can respect my side of the issues at hand.
"Years ago I visited a school in Albuquerque. The teacher told me about a youngster who brought a kitten to class. As you can imagine, that disrupted everything. She had him hold the kitten up in front of the children. It went well until one of the children asked, “Is it a boy kitty or a girl kitty?” Not wanting to get into that lesson, the teacher said, “It doesn’t matter. It’s just a kitty.” But they persisted. Finally, one boy raised his hand and said, “I know how you can tell.” Resigned to face it, the teacher said, “How can you tell?” And the student answered, “You can vote on it!”"
