July is coming to an end, and with it college students across the nation are undergoing the formidable task that is packing for school. There are so many things to bring, and not enough space to bring them all. Every year students are left feeling like they brought too much or too little. So, what should you actually bring? Here are eight important things too take with you!
1. Clothing
Bring clothes that are reasonable for the season. The average student visits home at least once every few months (or their parents visit them), because of this it's easier to pack just clothes that you need for the season and then switch them as the weather changes.
2. Electronics
Only bring what you need! When it comes to electronics a lot of student bring everything they own: TV's, tablets, E-Readers, etc... But, let's be honest, your computer can function as all of those things, so while it's fun to have all your devices you'll probably only need two: a phone and a laptop. Having a laptop is crucial in college.
3.Tupperware
That's small enough to fit in your bag. Let's face it we've all been there. I can guarantee that 99.99 percent of students have snuck something out of the dining halls for later. You don't need too buy these in bulk; just one works.
4. Bedding
Nap time is ALL the time! Bring bedding that you like and is comfortable for you. Bring an extra blanket just in case of chilly weather.
5. Shower Stuff
Shoes are a necessity! Make sure you have enough towels, shoes, toothbrushes, tooth paste, and shampoo to last for a while.
6. Soap
All Kinds. In college a student needs not only body wash and shampoos, but also laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap, and cleaners.
7. Money
For Emergencies...If you consider late-night GrubHub orders and going out with friends emergencies. It's important to have a little cash saved up for the upcoming school year. There are often unexpected expenses that arise.
8. Business Attire
Things happen and it's important to have something nice to wear for the unexpected event, interview, meeting, etc... You may not think it's important, but college is a place of opportunities, and it's important to make a good impression.
August is right around the corner...Let the school year begin!
