Everyone loves vacation time. You can finally relax, not worry about work, and just take each day as they come. But one thing that disrupts that vacation time is when you realize you forgot one of the most important things that you swore you wouldn't forget when you were loading up the car. So, check out this list to make sure you have everything to make your vacation as stress-free as possible!

1. Sunscreen!

Giphy

I used to blow this off & didn't think I needed it... until I got second-degree burns at the beach and my vacation was quickly ruined. Just take the sunscreen & apply it at least once so you can protect your precious skin.

2. A good book!

Giphy

Regardless if you're going to the beach or to the mountains, you can never go wrong with bringing a new book for some quiet time. It's also a good excuse to use when you just want to ignore your family and be in your own world for a while.

3. A rainjacket

Giphy

This might sound random and unimportant but you'll thank me when you get caught in that rainstorm on the beach or that trek down the mountain because let's face it, no one likes to be soaking wet on vacation.

4. A Hat

Giphy

This could mean a baseball cap or a sunhat - whichever works best for you! But regardless of the type of hat that you chose, it's always good to bring one along just in case there's a windy day on the beach or you woke up with extra greasy hair for some reason. Vacation is all about minimum effort and what easier way to style your hair than by putting a hat on while walking out the door?

5. Extra Battery Pack Charger

Giphy

You might not think you need one of these because you'll go from the car to your vaca home but think again. Whether you're on the beach all day and your phone dies or you're halfway up a mountain and realize that you're almost out of battery juice. You can never be too prepared so just be sure to snag one at your local Target or Walmart before you hit the road!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
