Blizzard's smashing new hit Overwatch is a team-based, first person shooter with a complex list of characters and a similar premise to the classic Team Fortress 2. Capturing and defending points, escorting payloads and much more makes the game fun.
Taking a page out of TF2's book and showing animated comics about the characters instead of in-game story is making the fan base explode with art, fan-fiction, and music. Overwatch does mimic a lot of TF2 but also brings its own style and heart.
With 21 original characters, game play styles differ and bring more interest into playing it. The only complaint I have heard is that the game gets easy and boring with the lack of different modes. However first person multiplayer games are to most played console games.
Overwatch may last its hype and become a classic! The answer to whether or not TF2 is going out of style is up to the player!
