We all have those days where we feel like the world is turning against us. Everything and everyone does us wrong in one single day and we feel like the badness is never-ending. Instead of dwelling in the negative of your bad day, there are so many ways to make it a good one.

1. Confiding in a friend

One of the best ways that help us become more relieved and non-stressed is by venting to friends. Even if you can't see them in person, sending them a quick text or giving them a call to vent will totally relieve you of any stress or feelings going on in your mind. The best way to get through tough situations is by getting advice from multiple people about it! Once you have a couple opinions on a situation, you will feel more comfortable dealing with it.

2. Alone relaxation time

Giving yourself some time alone also relieves any anger or tension building up inside you. Just simply relaxing by yourself and calming down from the bad situations happening to you creates a more calming mood and less anger will come out of you. Sometimes you just need a little time to yourself and forget about others for a bit.

3. Spoil yourself

You could also learn to treat yourself! There's no better feeling than spoiling yourself with hard earned shopping, eating or anything else. Taking the time to reward yourself for how amazing you are, needs to be done. This takes your mind off of all the negative going on and lets yourself know that you do deserve good things.

4. Personal activities

You could also do certain activities to take your mind off of your bad day. Distract yourself and maybe try cleaning up your room. A clean room immediately turns your mind relieved. You could also go out and do the things you love in life. This could be walking around nature paths, bike riding, swimming or just being outside. Being in the outdoors and smelling the fresh air does help clear your mind and also is good for your body.

5. Physical fitness

A personal favorite stress-reliever is working out. Whenever working out, all of the negative energy have stored up inside me goes away, and there are feelings of being refreshed and renewed. You also don't need a membership to a gym to be able to exercise. You and a workout buddy can go inside or outside and work on some routines. You could also run outside, which is an extra bonus because you are also enjoying the outdoors. Once you become more physically active, you will have a refreshed body and mind.

Just because you are having a bad day, doesn't mean it has to end that way. There are so many things you can do that can help with relieving your stress or negative energy within. Try a couple of these out next time and see if they work!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
