Have you ever left people behind in your life because they're toxic for you? Or have others ever just stopped talking or caring about you for no reason?

It's okay, it's completely normal. People leave and you leave people too. It's human nature and sometimes we outgrow certain people.

I've outgrown a lot of people in my life. Some were toxic, some just stopped caring. A lot of people have outgrown me too and that's okay.

It's all part of the learning process in life, just trust the process.

That being said, I don't miss the people I outgrew. Being someone who is easily influenced by others, my friend choices heavily affect me.

I don't miss the girl friend who drove me to the start of some very bad decisions.

I don't miss the guy friend that treated me like garbage constantly.

I don't miss the girl friends who used me but couldn't be bothered to help me in the most vulnerable time of my life.

I don't miss the guy who broke my heart into a million different pieces and left me there to pick up the mess by myself.

I don't miss any of you. Why? I outgrew them. It immensely hurt at first but I grew from the pain and am in the process of truly figuring my life out without all the negativity.

Don't be afraid to outgrow people in your life and don't get upset when others do the same to you. Your true friends will show themselves in your time of need and you will do the same for them.

Thank you to the friend who spent an entire day helping me get through a rough patch.

Thank you to the friend who let me come into their room and pour my heart out.

Thank you to my closest friends who constantly are there for me and never dismiss me or any of my problems.

Some people you don't outgrow but rather they grow with you. Thank you to those who stay and to those that don't, I truly hope you find happiness in whatever you do.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
