Just don't ever be an "outfit rememberer."

“Lizzie McGuire, you are an outfit repeater!”

Was one of the most memorable quotes from The Lizzie McGuire Movie, and may have singlehandedly triggered my fear of outfit repeating.

But, really, no one should EVER shame anyone for being an outfit repeater.

Why does it even bother anyone that people might remember your dress from a past event? Or that bikini from your last vacation? If you have been beating the repeating stigma all your life, stop! Repeating an outfit is the coolest thing you can do. Rewearing clothing is a more responsible and eco-friendly way of life, so come join the club! Here are some reasons to come to the dark side, re-wear your favorite outfits, and refuse to feel bad about it, if anything, feel great about it.

First of all, this is such a FIRST WORLD PROBLEM.

It’s a dress, and MAYBE someone will judge you, or maybe no one will judge you. There is this thing called life, and you will never be able to master it, you never will be able to be ON all of the time. We don't have Mary Poppins bag for closets, but if you do... click off this article right now. It's not for you (hehe, just kidding, you can stay.)

Also, if you look good in that outfit, give it its well-deserved glory and wear it till it can't be worn any longer.

THE WASTE

If we really knew the number of clothes thrown out, each year, all over the world it would be such a huge eye-opener! Most clothing can be re-sold in thrift shops or redistributed by organizations such as The Salvation Army, but instead ends up in a landfill. Give your clothing a full life, and if you decided to "let go," be sure to find it a new loving home first.

Change it up.

Just because it might be the same outfit, doesn’t mean you're wearing it the same way. Change up your hairstyle, makeup, and accessories! Try braids, a new scarf, giant statement earrings, change it up.

One way to re-wear special occasion outfit's is to demote them to casual-wear and dress them down with low-key jackets and comfy shoes. No two outfits are ever exactly the same.

And who is really going to notice?

Unless you post your life online, no one is going to notice. And if they do... guess what? They're the worst!!

The biggest reason for why we’ve gotten into this one-wear obsession is because we don’t want to be judged by friends, but real friends will never judge you for what you wear. Honestly, see this also as a test on whether your surrounding friends support you in your endeavors.

And if you're in a position where you share your life online, try posting content encouraging minimalism. Capsule wardrobes are a thing, and they're awesome. Create your own, and share it with your followers. And if you think a photo looks too similar to another because the outfit is the same, try a different location. You can even write content for fun, new locations to shake up your photos.

It's just less stress.

You will stress less if you tastefully re-wear that same skirt and blouse because you don’t need to frantically go out, buy a new one, get it altered... whatever you do.

I, for one, HATE dress shopping. 4'9 and formal dresses do not mix, not at all.

Moral of the story is, don’t let the Kate Sanders of the world keep you from re-wearing that dress. As Lizzie said,

“I may be an outfit repeater, but you’re an outfit rememberer and that is just as pathetic!”

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
