Halloween...What?
Halloween is a, somewhat, holiday that about 80 percent of the population celebrates. This being because the other 10 percent are strictly committed Catholics of Christians that believe Halloween is a part of the devil (my mom does not let me celebrate it for that reason that we are both Christians). Me being a Christian is only half of the reason that I do not celebrate it. The other reason is because of the fact that kids, ages below 17 on average, are going out into the dark in monstrous costumes looking for candy from strangers. Crazy when you think about it? Yeah, because we are literally breaking the third most important rule to us as a society..."Do not take candy from strangers or talk to strangers!". The other 80 percent see it as a fun activity to scared and be scared (which apparently is fun) just for the kicks and laughs and endless amount of candy. So what can the other 20 percent do to not have a boring Oct. 31?
Alternatives
Scary Movie Night
Get your parents, your brother, your sister, even your dog, and watch thriller. Oh! You do not want to stay at your parents' house?...TOTALLY FINE! Grab a friend that can host a movie night and invite a bunch of suspense sensitive kids, and a few tough ones to ease the rest. DO NOT FORGET THE FOOD!!
Haunted House
Go to a haunted house, but not by yourself so bring some friends. This is a very safe way to get the thrill and scare of Halloween without the danger or even the costumes. Just bring yourself and someone else, unless you think you are tough enough.
Party
Maybe you do not want to sit through a movie or even go somewhere scary but still do not want to waste the day. Just have a party!! It can even be a costume party with all of your friends from high school, or middle school, or college. Either one can have a party just as good for that age...keep the age part in mind. Have fun!!
