10 'One Tree Hill' Episodes To Watch When You Need A Laugh

While OTH is usually described as a drama, it's got a lot of genuine dimes when it comes to comedic humor.

Everyone knows that when you're in the throws of schoolwork or your job, you have to schedule in breaks in order to maintain your sanity, or at least I do! One of my favorite pastimes, when I'm taking a much-needed breather from school, is marathoning TV shows. However, that's kind of hard to do when you have so much to do and it'd take you FOREVER to get through a nine-season show like OTH. So, because I've already watched the series all the way through, I chose a handful of episodes that are my favorites to watch and just rewatch them! These are 10 of my favorite OTH episodes, and ones that are sure to make you laugh!

1. "To Wish Impossible Things" S1, EP 18

The annual Boy Toy charity auction is upon Tree Hill, NC and it leads to some pretty crazy shenanigans. Rooftop putt-putt, carousel make-outs, and a HUGE misunderstanding between a b-ball player and his best friend's mom.

2. "What Is And What Should Never Be" S1, EP 20

Haley plans a "take-back-the-party" party, and it quickly goes downhill. Handcuffs, police, broken furniture, and heartbreak ensue.

3. "I Will Dare" S2, EP 5

New Tree Hill student, Felix, dreams up the perfect Dare Night...for him. Everyone else is put in some very awkward situations, including eating pickled eggs and returning clothes to stores while you're wearing them. But that's not all. Tune in to find out!

4. "Lifetime Piling Up" S2, EP 20

Okay, so this episode isn't really funny to me because of its comedic humor and jokes, but because it's a complete swap of the OTH world as fans know it. Nathan's unconscious after an accident and imagines what his life would've been like if his dad, Dan, had married the other woman he knocked up instead of Nathan's mother.

5. "Locked Hearts and Hand Grenades" S3, EP 6

Brooke has an idea to keep her cheerleading squad from tearing each other apart over crushes - a Fantasy Boy Draft. It's like a Fantasy Football Draft, but with a lot more hormones involved. However, not everyone gets who they actually wanted...

6. "Resolve" S4, EP 12

Nathan and Skills join a male stripping competition because Nathan needs a bit of extra money. Enough said.

7. "Hate Is Safer Than Love" S5, EP 17

Deb finds out the identity of her online flame, and he's a lot younger than she thought. She also might've already known him...

8. "A Hand to Tale Hold of the Scene" S6, EP 14

Lucas and Peyton are babysitting; Nathan, Haley, Chase, and Mia are singing karaoke; and two kids ingest a lot more ice cream than they should.

9. "Now You Lift Your Eyes To The Sun" S7, EP 9

Dan and Rachel are back...together...and they have a talk show...oh boy.

10. "Holding Out for a Hero" S8, EP 14

Brooke, Haley, and Quinn take on much more...heroic...personas to help a young girl tackle her bullies and fight back.

And those are 10 of my favorite OTH episodes! Binge them in order of the season, or hop around to what you're in the mood for!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
