New Orleans City Park Welcomes The Chinese Lights

These enormous, colorful lights will have your jaw drop. Here is a video of my night strolling through the Chinese Lights in City Park.

Every year, City Park is locally known to have Christmas in the Oaks. For Christmas in the Oaks, City Park brings the Christmas spirit by decorating the park and setting up a beautiful path of massive Christmas lights. It's getting very close to that time of year when these lights will finally be up again for the city's enjoyment. As I was sitting around thinking about the Christmas display, I remembered my night strolling through the Chinese lights. Earlier this year, they welcomed this very interesting and unique Chinese lights display. My favorite thing about New Orleans is that the city loves to celebrate other cultures. I went to partake in this Chinese cultural celebration and had quite a magical time!

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
