I sat there alone
With my head in my hands
Only looking up when the door swung open
In the stillness of my office
Where Happiness had once been
And where Heartbreak had somehow rented a space
I raised my head to behold pure magnificence
I saw Love.
Walking with a confidence like no other
He stood tall and mighty
His shoulders, broader than the horizon of the entire Pacific Ocean
His smile, brighter than Sirius’s gleam in the night sky
His eyes sparkled like a parade of Jupiter’s sixty-something moons
He was a sight to see
He was beautiful in his own right
And even more beautiful to the ears
For, when he came closer
His voice was like that of a harp that harmonized with the gentle breeze
That seemed to be his favorite tune
For, his tone never differed
Neither freedom nor frustration
Neither happiness nor hatred,
Neither amusement nor anger,
Changed the station
The air waves of his heart remained constant and pure
And I, Oh I enjoyed listening
