'Orange Is The New Black': WTF Moments Of Season 4

Its that time of the year, again! Finally time to binge watch the new season of "Orange is the New Black." Personally, I believe that this season is by far the best season, and its not because I am Dominican and there was finally a Dominican posse in the TV show. (I am pretty happy about that, though.) The really reason I loved this season is because for the first time this series had made me cry, laugh and question myself as to what did i just watch, all in one episode.

So here are some WTF moments of Season 4:

1. Morello and her new Hubby

I think everyone that has watched this season knows that I am going to bring up the indescribable sex scene. I kept asking myself, is this really happening right now? There are children around!

2. The Hit Man

Lolly ends up saving Alex's life when a hit man who was able to get a job as a guard tries to kill Alex. Alex later discovers that he is still alive and finishes him off. The most crazy part about this is that Frieda suggest that Alex has to dismember the body. Alex, Lolly and Frieda then spend the day cutting up a body to bury under Red's garden. Super nasty.

3. Piper Gets Branded

I love my Dominicans, but this was beyond cruel. Piper gets branded as a Nazi by the Dominicans after she shut down their dirty panty business. This scene was so unexpected, I thought they were just going to give her a big beating.

4. Regrets

Judy King, Lushek and Jones have a threesome while high on molly. That pretty much speaks for itself.

5. Cruel New Guards

This whole season we see a great abuse of power between the guards and the inmates, the most horrific of all is when officer Humphrey made Maritza swallow a newborn baby mouse. At that point, I came to the conclusion that half of the guards were psychopaths.

6. Peaceful but Fatal Protesting

After all the cliques of the prison gather together and decide they want to get the guards fired they go on a peaceful protest. Once the guards try to get everyone back to their bunk, Poussey is pinned down by one of the guards. After being pinned down for so long she was unable to breathe, resulting in her death. This scene I definitely did not see coming. As a huge fan of Poussey, I was devastated and also just like WTF.

7. The Ultimate Cliff Hanger

After Poussey's death, the prison goes into riot mode after Caputo states that he stands by the decision of the officer to pin down Poussey. Everyone is sick of the abuse they receive from the guards, and so everyone gangs up.The mob catches up to Judy King who is scheduled to leave and two other guards. Officer Humphrey snuck in a gun into the prison. Daya finds herself holding the gun, and pointing it at Humphrey's head.

Once again, a great cliff hanger!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
