Nail polish is hard. I've picked a color before, and a week into it, I'm either completely sick of it or I just downright hate the color and wonder what I could have been thinking that day. There are so many choices and I'm so overwhelmed.

Let's be honest, when we see the color on that little fake nail, we might like it. But somehow, it became something completely different on our own nails. Honestly, I've learned an important lesson when picking nail polish.

Always go OPI.

I'm diehard for OPI for three reasons. It's the only gel brand that doesn't peel right off my nails. They have the most amazing names. The color is always true to the sample or what it looks like in the bottle.

I've spent some time collecting a list of the best of the best from OPI, and I'm here to share that list with all of you, so you too can have the most bomb nail colors.

Get all the compliments and never get sick of them.

1. Stop It, I'm Blushing

I have this color on my nails right now and I'm obsessed. It's the perfect pale pinky nude for summer, but it's a great transition color for fall.

2. Bubble Bath

This color is so natural. It's perfect for job interviews and professional events where you don't want to walk in with a bold red nail. It's also a great color for all seasons, which is such a bonus.

3. Don't Bossa Nova Me Around

This is a great warm tone nude. I like it a lot for fall and winter when you want a break from dark colors, but it can also be really great in summer where you don't want something super pastel or something super bright.

4. Be There in a Prosecco

This is another favorite for all four seasons. It's a really good creamy nude that'll look great with a tan, but also great without one. This color can get a lot of wear for people who love the look of white, but hate how bright and in-your-face it can be.

5. Tiramisu for Two

To me, this is the PERFECT nude, which is honestly harder to find than you think. It's such a great color for the fall and winter.

6. My Vampire is Buff

Similar to Be There in a Prosecco, this is a great creamy nude. But this one is a little dark which, again, makes it great for all seasons. But I especially love it in the fall and winter when you want to get away from all the dark colors.

7. You Don't Know Jacques

I love this color because not a lot of people think to get it, but it's SO good. It looks great in the fall and winter, and it is really good for taking a break from blacks and maroons while still getting that dark fall color.

8. How Great is Your Dane

This is definitely a darker version of You Don't Know Jacques, but that's kind of what's great about it. Still a great fall and winter color, but it's good when you're looking for something a little darker from You Don't Know Jacques.

9. Black Cherry Chutney

This one surprised me. When I picked it out, I didn't realize it had that glittery look to it, but I'm so glad it does. It spices up the typical dark maroon and makes it so much better. I get ALL the compliments when I have this on my nails in fall and winter.

10. Lincoln Park After Dark

THIS. This color is my go-to fall/winter color. I swear I get it probably every other time I go. I know what you're thinking. "It's just black?" But it's not. It's the perfect purplish black that looks so good.

I could make a list of probably ten to twenty more colors that we all need to know about. But I think it's important that we have a few great colors on standby when you are completely confused in the salon, and the lady is sitting there waiting for you to come and sit down.

So there are those colors for me, and I wanted to share them with you so you don't feel that uncomfortable need to grab something you'll regret.

These are my go-to colors for summer/spring and fall/winter. Some are even great to transition into other seasons. Overall, these are staple colors that everyone needs to know about.

Thank me later.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
