TV Guide

Dear Shonda,

Let me start by saying thank you for filling countless hours of my life with joy and Derek Shepard. You are an extremely creative woman who has blessed my soul. I think I can speak for most Grey's fans in saying that even when we hate you, we love you.

There have been many heartaches in my relationship with Grey's Anatomy. I can recall many nights that I sobbed while simultaneously screaming, "Why Shonda?". You took so many people from me that I had learned to love. Denny, George, Mark, Adele, and most of all Derek (I may still be holding a grudge about that one). However, with each fictional death, one thing remained: Meredith. Thank you, Shonda, for Meredith. All of her quirks, strengths, and weaknesses make her amazing. Watching her constantly go through immense struggles taught us all a little about life. It constantly reminded us that life is NOT fair. Meredith may have many trials, but she also has a lot of fun. From her many drunken mishaps to her crazy family, you can't help but love her. Hopefully, we will still be following Meredith when she is eighty years old.

How you came up with such an elaborate and beautiful creation, I will never understand. You have captured many hearts and created many lifelong fans. I hope to sit around my house in 50 years and force my grandchildren to watch it, but for now I'll just force my boyfriend.

With every episode, I become more invested. I could re-watch every season a million times, and I would never get bored. You have created a binge-watching monster. I watch while I clean, work, and eat. Even on dates. I relate real life struggles to episodes and often ask my self, "What would Miranda Bailey do?"

So in closing, thank you Shonda for taking me into the world of Seattle Grace Hospital. No matter how many times you break my heart I will always come back for more.

Sincerely,
A Devoted Fan

April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation is notorious for her "I don't care" attitude. She speaks her mind without caring what anyone thinks of her. And despite her sometimes harsh words, April truly cares about the people she's closest to. These are all reasons she is the epitome of a college student. April complains whenever she has to do any kind of work, but ends up doing the work anyway. April Ludgate is the ultimate college student spirit animal.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
