Dear roommate,
Thank you for putting up with me. We all can know and appreciate how hard it is to live in such a small space with someone else. Especially when the two of us can be opposites sometimes. The best part of it all is that we are with each other through the worst and best of times. Through the highs and lows, both of us get to experience it. Sometimes we can clash and butt heads, but the best part is that we keep growing together. You're like my other half, the peanut butter to my jelly, and the meat to my potatoes. The fact that we've made it so far without tearing each others' hair out is a miracle practically. Sometimes we just need that friend who is there for us when we're sad, excited, exhausted, stressed, hysterical, and happy. I'm glad that you're that person to me.
I know you're going to think that I'm going to be lame by getting all sappy but here it goes. Thank you being my friend. You've been there when times have gotten really hard. Thank you for supporting me and being a shoulder to cry on. Thanks for letting me vent to you and sometimes just letting me scream in the room to get out some stress. Thank you for helping me get back to reality when my mind goes haywire and I feel like I won't make it. Thank you for being there when the times are good. I always know when have a night out or even just stay in that we'll have a good time. I know that there will be many inside jokes to come and definitely a lot of laughter. Laughter is the best medicine anyhow so I know that I will be able to ultimately find happiness when we're together. I love our jam sessions (no matter how musically talented they are), our random dance parties, and the times where we laugh so hard we cry. Thanks for being my best friend, mom, sister, and partner in crime. When living together sometimes we have to take on more roles than one. I'm sorry if I've ever crossed any boundaries or got too nosy about your life. The truth is, I just care about you too much.
Here's to our future. I can't wait to make more memories in college with you by my side. I know that we can tackle any obstacle that comes our way. I can't wait to spend more time screaming, singing, laughing, traveling, and taking on the adventure of life with you. Here's to many more years of dealing with each others' bull, nasty moments, sass, looniness, attitude, and mental breakdowns. I can't wait to see where the future will take us. I know that we will do great things as long as we're still friends.
Love,
Your Roommate
