Open Note To Roommates Past, Present And Future

Dear Roommates Past,

I know we all ended on pretty rough terms, especially because we were all so different, but I’m glad I was your roommate because through all of the drama, you made me stronger. You taught me that people are mean, but all I can do is overcome. You taught me that sometimes all it takes is somebody that is willing to use you past your breaking point to help you realize that I deserved better.

Dear Roommates Present,

I was lucky enough to live with you last year and we’ve gotten to be so close. Thank you for being there for me at my worst and I don’t know what to do when I’m not your roommate anymore. There aren’t enough words to describe how thankful I am that you are in my life and how lucky I am to have found my best friend, my built in grocery shopping partner, my maid of honor, and my partner in crime all in one.

Dear Roommates Future,

As you can probably tell, you are going to be living with a weird, weird girl. My promise to you is that I am and will continue to be the most loyal person you will ever meet. Please be prepared for late night talks at around 2 a.m. where I’ll question the meaning of life and days where all I’ll want to do is wonder why I have sitcom-type problems. And know there is nothing I wouldn’t do for the people I love, but as I’ve recently learned, there is a boundary line.

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
