To whom it may concern:

No matter what you look like or what your background is, we all know you have only one true goal in life. Yes, maybe you have other goals, but this one in particular is the sum of the many. They all stem back to this one, universal goal. That is; to be happy.

With only one sincere hope of prosperity in sight, sometimes you can get lost in the chaos of trying to please yourself. I am here to tell you that you don't have to try and please yourself all the time; because, there is a much greater being in the works who will take that burden from you. And HE will use that burden you are so desperate to rid yourself of, to bring YOU happiness.

Some people will spend most of their life trying to uncover a sense of happiness that is simply not there, nor will it ever be. Some people will waist away as their only goal is to live a happy life, one in which they will never live. Some people will use their life savings to purchase material items that will never succeed in filling the void, they never even knew was empty.

Will this be you?

Psalm 37:4 says, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." You will never find happiness, because you are searching for it in all the wrong places. The truth is, the only real happiness comes from the Lord. When you choose to "let go and let God," you will find yourself falling into a feeling of happiness and joy, you never knew you were capable of obtaining.

Don't be the person who spends the entirety of your life searching for happiness, when you have yet to fully open your eyes. When you live a life that is lacking in the Holy Spirit, you will NEVER find happiness. At least, not true, everlasting, and worry-free happiness.

Set yourself apart from the crowd, and put your faith in something that is real, in something that is true, and just. Put your faith in something that is so much bigger that your own understanding, something that surpasses all of your worldly knowledge. Put your faith and your hope in God, and I promise that you will find eternal happiness.

2 Corinthians 12:10 says, "That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." You may not always feel joyful throughout your life, especially when you face trials and tribulations; which you will face many! But, you can and will always feel happy in your walk with the Lord. And that is something that will NEVER fade, not with the setting of the sun each day, nor with the last breath you will ever draw. Because, when you choose the Lord, over the world, you will find everlasting peace, and through that, pure happiness. So be patient in your understanding, and allow yourself to let go and put your trust in a love that won't weaken and will certainly never fail.

Sincerely,

Your sister in Christ

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
