First off I want to start by saying, you guys rock!
Seriously.
Going into college, I didn’t know what to expect. Not having my best friends from home by my side made it hard, and not having my parents, or more importantly my pets was tough, too. I was worried about my classes and how much stress I was going to have to endure. I was worried that my roommates would be obnoxious, and that everyone on my floor would keep to themselves. But after the first day, all of these worries in my head went away, and it’s because I met all of you.
I look back to when we first met and went to dinner together. All of us were probably ecstatic that we didn’t have to eat alone. I remember, not too long ago, we were going door to door introducing ourselves, realizing all these girls were actually normal. We use to timidly knock on each others doors, but now we either have a secret knock, no knock at all, or just walk in because we are so comfortable with each other.
You all are the people I can rely on for anything, whether it’s homework, boy drama, fashion advice, people to go out with, or even just someone to give me a hug when I so desperately need one. You all are my source of company; beautiful company. Whether we are watching movies, painting nails, discovering each others interests, or going out on a Friday night, all of the time we have spent together has been wonderful. I know for a fact, that someday I will be telling my kids about some of our wildest adventures and our most mischievous behavior.
Although I miss my best friends from home (and I know you all do too), you make my days here so bright and fun that I forget that I’m not at home. College truly wouldn’t be the same with out you, and I can’t end this letter without thanking you first.
Thanks for being my breakfast buddies, while also trying to avoid the freshman 15. Thanks for introducing me to your favorite Netflix shows, and not judging mine. Thanks for being thirsty on Thursdays. Thanks for being real, and thanks for accepting my flaws. Thanks for helping me when I’m sad, and thanks for letting me rant when I’m upset.
Thank you for helping me through every single college obstacle.
College has been so incredibly enjoyable, and I’m so blessed to have some bad b****** beside me who will have my back through it all.
So here’s to all our future endeavors- may they be filled with pure joy and excitement.
With Love,
One Of Your New College Friends
