Welcome to the family!

Open Letter To My Grand-Littles
Personal

Welcome to the family G-Littles,

I know you have had a crazy couple of weeks between songs practice, meetings, and basket week...but now, reveal is finally here!!! You have been wondering all week who could be the girl behind all of your wonderful baskets. I'm happy to say that that girl is my little!

She has loved you since day one, and I can't wait to see y'all's relationship grow. Having a little of my own has been such a blessing and now, adding two new additions to the family, I couldn't be more excited!

I hope you know what you are getting yourselves into. This family is loud. This family is a good time. This family is full of bad jokes. This family is kind. This family is loving. This family will be you saving grace because I know it has been mine.

Waiting for you at reveal was the most nerve-racking and exciting experience. Dressed up in my nightgown and slippers while jamming out to Beyoncé with the rest of the family is something you can't get anywhere else. We knew your reaction would be confused, or maybe even scared, but it was so worth it. There honestly isn't a more accurate depiction of our family than that, and we are so glad that we got to share that with you.

I hope you enjoy being the babies of the family because, before you know it, you will be taking littles of your own! However, until then, I will be the one spoiling you—just as every grandmother should. From late night study sessions, to girls nights out, to random trips to Austin, I can't wait to share all of these memories with you. You deserve the world, and I want to give it to you!

Without this family, I'm unsure how I would have gotten this far in college. These girls will be there to celebrate with you on your best days, and they will be there to cry with you on your worst days. No matter whats going on in your life, we will always be there for you.

This family is a safe haven where you can be apologetically yourself. No one will judge you for being a shamble show, or slipping up on a test, or even going out in public with rollers in your hair. Its our job to be there for each other no matter what. Growing up with only brothers, I never knew what is was like to have sisters. After joining a sorority, I gained close to 300 sisters, but more specifically, I gained a family of my own.

I have learned to not take advantage of the time we have together because there will come a day when we do have to graduate and immerse ourselves in the real world. No matter the distance, no matter the time, no matter the place, we will always be family, and I will always be there for you.

I already love you so much G-Lits, and I can't wait to see our friendship grow into a lifelong bond. Keep being yourself, don't be afraid to take risks, and never forget family!

XO,

G-Biggy

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
