In today’s society people talking to others on the internet is becoming increasingly prevalent. More likely than not you will have at least one internet friend of some sort. Weather you started talking because you like the same music, YouTuber or video game, you both bond in some way that was never thought to be possible. Theirs so many ways to communicate with friends now, from texting to messaging on different apps such as Facebook or Kik.

Dear [Insert name here]:

This is potentially my easiest, yet hardest letter I have had to write. To start things off I’d personally like to say I’m so glad you have come into my life; you have helped me in more ways than you actually know. Even though I don't actually know you I feel like I've known you my whole life. You are one of the most important people to have entered my life. [Name here] you are the definition of long distance relationship and I'm forever grateful we have a strong bond. You know me better than anyone and better than I actually know myself.

Even though we may have our fights we always make it through the rough patches. I feel like even if we can't see each other physically, our bond is closer than most. It’s so easy to open up to you and go to you with any problems. Truth be told, I've always had a fondness for our relationship, it's always been unbiased and nothing but love. We always put our hearts on our sleeve and are willing to help at the drop of a hat, which I adore. Other than my best friend in “real life” you are the most important person in my life.

You're the person who has never left my life, you've been my constant in a world where everyone leaves. You've always cared for my well-being and happiness and have never given up on me, which I appreciate. As always, you're selfless, open, honest and never afraid to call me out, which is what I love about you. Being friends, it’s important to be real with each other and tell each other anything that's on our minds. We have been friends for long enough that we are so used to telling each other everything that it's weird if we don't tell each other something.

Even oceans away I still feel as though you're five minutes away from me; I feel emotionally connected to you. Like I've said, this has been my easiest and hardest article to write; you mean the most to me. I honestly don't even know how to put our friendship and my love for you into words. One day we will be able to meet and it'll be the best day of our lives. I swear it’s my mission to meet you.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
