I remember saying in one of my articles that I have a brother and I would tell you more about him, and now is the time. My baby brother is not much of a baby anymore; he is a young adult now and my heart can't take it, plus he is graduating from high school this year. Can you sense the big sister pride in me?
I often say that life is a roller coaster, but being a big sister is definitely a roller coaster. Although he eats my food all the time, I wouldn't trade being his sister for anything.
Kiki,
First of all, don't bite my head off. If you get to call me Yooooo, then I get to call you baby brother because whether you like it or not you will forever be my baby. But, in all seriousness, I can't believe you are already a young adult. I might not say this often enough, but I want you to know that I love you and I believe in you. No matter what the past might look like, the only thing that matters is what you do with the present, and that will determine your future.
I know the thought of graduating from high school and what's next is the main thing going through your mind at the moment. I want you to know that YOU CAN DO IT. You can do anything you set your mind to, and you are an intelligent young man, you just have to put more effort into what you do. Remember how you told me if I had the same motivation I had for school for working out, it would be great? We can balance it out by you reversing your motivation. Also, being 18 doesn't mean you are supposed to carry life on your shoulder all by yourself, we all need support, so be hero, but don't be a hero, you get me??? I am here for you.
I'm keeping this short, so you can finish it brother. Just know that I am proud of you and Jesus loves you just as much as He loves me. The way I live doesn't make His love for me increase, nor does the way you live make His love for you decrease. He loved us before we could learn how to love Him, so give Him another chance.
Happy Birthday from Yooooo (can't wait for you to see your gift).
Xoxo,
DD
