Considering Mother's Day just occurred I figured it would be appropriate to write about my mom. My mom has been my number one supporter, and even more importantly she has been the one person who has never left my side no matter how difficult things got. Even though I know my mom does everything in her power to give me the world, I also know that I don't show that I appreciate her enough like I should.

Considering that I am now 18 years old and just finished my freshman year of college, my mom and I have not been communicating as much as I would like. Things are very busy and the both of us have a lot on our plate. While I was in school we would go weeks without speaking to each other without even realizing it. Gladly, as soon as she picked up for summer break it felt just like the old times. That just shows how strong a bond can be between a son and their mother.

There are so many things that my mom does for me. While some of the things I notice, many of the things she does sometimes don't get recognized. There aren't enough words that can explain how much I appreciate everything she does. From picking me up from school which is 8 hours away to secretly putting money in my account when my balance starts to get low, the things she does always shows that she cares and that I am always on her mind.

Not only does she have the responsibility of worrying about me she also does an amazing job taking care of my brother as well. I am in constant awe when I see how much love and compassion she gives us even when we are being difficult. It's my goal that when I am a parent I can love my children just as much as my parents love my brother and I.

Being a parent is clearly a hard job and not everyone is cut out to do it. Luckily for my family, my parents seem to have the task of parenting down to a T. Without them I wouldn't have all of the stuff I have now and I would not be as hardworking and successful either. Both my mom and dad have sacrificed so much for us, and I can't wait to repay them for all of their hard work.

I have no idea what I would do without my mom, and that's why in the future when I become established I am going to make sure she receives everything she wants and deserves. She has been by my side my whole life, and I plan on being by hers for as long as I can be! No matter what happens in life, I always know that my mom will be there for me. I can only imagine all of the things she will be doing for in the next 18 years of my life, but this time hopefully I can finally be doing stuff for her!

I love you mom.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
