Dear Fellow Travelers,
You have the urge to just pack everything up and go travel the world. To experience the world and the cultures that come with it. To see what lies on other continents and in the ocean.
Some may tell you the world is a dangerous place and not to do it.
Others may tell you that you can’t afford it or that you are too young.
Well I am here to tell you, screw them. Go travel, see the world. So what if you are young or that the world is a dangerous place. You are some of the few people who have the unlimited sense of adventure. You are the ones with Wanderlust.
If you want to go to Mexico, go to Mexico. Go and speak the language, see the history, and communicate with the people.
If you want to go to Scotland, go to Scotland. Go see the castles, sit and drink the local draft in a pub, and go searching for the Loch Ness monster.
If you want to go to South Korea, go to South Korea. Eat some Boulogi and rice balls, go explore the ancient temples, and immerse yourself in the rich culture.
Even if you only get travel within your own home country, you will experience a plethora of new things. In San Francisco, you can witness firsthand the colorful city full of a thousand different people and stories. In New York City, you can go see a Broadway play after a day of sightseeing the different historical landmarks, including Ellis Island and the Empire State Building. Visit Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, the Alamo in Texas, or the countless tribute statues and historical buildings of Washington D.C.
Life is too short to tuck your wanderlust spirit in a drawer for “later”, so go out and experience the cultures and places that you have been dreaming of. Go live your life, you have the time. Yes, the world is a big scary place. But instead of hiding in your comfort zones, my advice to you would to be go out conquer it. Yes, there are dangers that come with being a person with a soul as adventurous as yours. But those risks do not outweigh the experiences that you will gain throughout your travels.
I will be right there with you.
Sincerely,
Your Fellow Traveler
