We all have one, you’ve only read the title of this article and you’re already thinking about who she is. She has had your back multiple times, goes out of her way to help you, and checks up on you when you get to be too busy. She deserves a huge thank you, and this letter is the perfect way to tell her.

Thank you so much for the countless rants that you have listened to. Whether they were about boys, school, financial stresses, or life in general you have listened to them all. Not only that, but you have also had fantastic insight on how to fix these problems. A time or two you’ve even ranted with me, and I thank you for that because that helps me know that I am not alone.

Thank you so much for feeding me leftovers, or even going out of your way to cook an entire meal when I only had pennies in my bank account and no food. I am so incredibly blessed to have someone in my life that actually enjoys doing these things for me. Thank you for not letting me feel like a burden. Thank you for making sure I don’t let my pride get the best of me.

Thank you for not only helping me, but all of your other friends too. You go out of your way when one of us gets sick every day just to keep us company. When you make sweets, you’ve always asked all of us if we wanted any. I wish that ladies across the world would be as whole hearted as you are.

Thank you for short talks on the porch when we don’t have much time to chat. When we do have time, I appreciate the long walks you’d drag me on where we could either have serious heart to heart conversations, or just be silly and run through puddles after a big rain storm. I can always count on you to be there for me, just as you can always count that I will be there for you.

You are the mom friend, the friendly one, and the wise one. I know you tell me that you don’t think that you have your life together, sometimes you think your house is a mess when there is literally only one dish unclean, and you’re constantly stressing. I just wanted to let you know, that you must be doing something right. A number of people love and cherish you for how down to earth you are. Don’t ever change a thing about you because you truly are a blessing. I know life can get stressful, and sometimes you need somebody there for you too. If ever need be, when you simply cannot be the mom friend, I will one day attempt to be the mom friend for you as gratitude for all that you have done for me.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
