Dear Sisters,

I don’t even know where to begin. You have changed my life for the better. Finding those “forever” friends in college isn’t easy, but somehow it was more than easy with you.

I always knew college would be a life-changing experience, but I never thought my life would change so much after just a single year of college. You’ve showed me what it means to have sisters who aren’t by blood, but take the meaning of the word to a whole new level.

At rush, you guys welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like the luckiest girl in the world when I found out I had received a bid. By the time pledging was over, there wasn’t anything about you guys that I didn’t know. I never imagined that there would be such a wonderful group of friends whom I could feel so open with. Even with all of my flaws, you accept me for who I am.

You are what makes being away from home for the majority of the year a great experience, because you all are my home away from home. There is never a point where I ever have to question our friendship, because I always know that you have my back through the good and the bad. You help me to focus on my academics, especially when it’s a difficult course, but you are also the ones to teach me that it is OK to have fun and that I’m only going to be young once.

Even when we’re not together, each of you is always in my heart. Being away is so hard, but it is constantly worth it. It warms my heart to get a text saying that you heard a song or saw something that made you think of me, because most likely, I’m thinking of you as well. I can’t ever go too long until I pass by someone that in a way, reminds me of you.

And to the alumni, thank you for choosing to be a part of the family, because without you, I wouldn’t have been blessed with any of this. It is always such a great experience being able to meet the ones who have helped shaped the sisterhood into what it is today. It is truly a gem to have the opportunity to hear stories about what the sorority was like when you were a sister.

You guys do so much more than you will ever realize, and for that, I will always be grateful. I know that years from now, you will still be the ones I call when something important happens in my life. Let’s be honest, I will probably be calling you for all the small things too, even if it is just buying my car or getting my first “adult job” after college. No matter where life takes us, each and every one of you will always remain a piece of me.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
