Dear Little,

I knew from the moment I met you we were a match made in srat heaven. You're beautiful inside and out, a free spirit, a wild child, caring, and kindhearted. They always warn you not to get attached to a certain person when it comes time for Big/Little Reveal and all that leads up to it, but I knew as soon as we met you were the one for me. You came to me during a difficult time in my life when I needed you most. You just get me and I never have to worry about being judged by you. We literally can read each other's minds (freaky, but cool) and quite often are always thinking the same thing.

One reason why we get along so well is because we're practically the same person. We're planners and strive to make the most of every moment. It's fun having someone you can 100% relate to. Our friendship is easy and effortless. You're the kind of friend a friend would love to have.

We've shared many laughs, countless lunch dates, blurry nights, and outdoor adventures. We love enjoying life accompanied by the other. Thanks for spending so much of your time with me and never getting tired of it. You're always there to drag me out of bed and explore with you when I'm trying to be lazy, and inspire me to hit up the gym when I feel like I could use a good workout. And, of course, whenever I need someone to share a late night pizza with. You encourage me to be a better person every day. You're the perfect addition to our family tree and I have no doubt you will do great things after I graduate and leave you here at school.

People like you are hard to come by. We're only blessed with a few, great, true friends in life. I've never had a little sister as I am the youngest in my biological family, and you are the msot perfect one I could ever ask for. I have to wonder what I did before you entered my life. Truthfully, I would be lost without you.

I know the relationship we share is special because not everyone gets to experience this with their Little. Some are simply paired up and never truly connect. However, I know our friendship will stand the test of time and continue into the years after college. No distance is too far; no time apart is too long. Whenever we're together again we always pick up right where we left off with laughter and much-needed heart to hearts.

Thank you for bringing me out the best in me. Thank you for giving me so much of your time, patience, acceptance, and love. Thank you for always being honest with me. Thank you for loving me unconditionally, as I know I can be a difficult person to deal with at times. Thank you, Little, for being you.

Love,
Big

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
