We love winter break, but we hate leaving over roommates behind, and here's why:

1. Having someone to talk to 24/7

There's always someone there to talk to you, whether you need advice or just need to talk about something funny that you saw today on campus. They're always there to listen and they're awesome for that.

2. Laying in their bed

For some reason, you are always found laying in their bed instead of your own and the best part is, they never seem to mind you napping in their bed.

3. Getting ready together

Sure, you might shove each other in the morning when you're brushing your teeth and need a sink, but nothing is better than having your roommates there doing your hair and fixing your makeup for you before a night out. Getting ready isn't nearly as fun without them there.

4. Your inside jokes

There's certain things that only you and your roommates know or joke about and it stays that way between you guys. When you're home no one understands what the heck you're talking about, but you know that if your roommates were there, no explanation would be needed.

5. Laughing when someone does something embarrassing

Someone does something embarrassing at least once a day and you're not a close roommate if you don't all laugh together when that happens.

6. Being too comfortable with each other

You're going to miss not having a filter talking to your roommates and doing things that you would only let them see you do. There's a level of comfortability when you're with them and it's being too comfortable, but you wouldn't want it any other way.

7. Late night movie dates

It's always nice having them there to have those late night movie dates when you feel like watching a RomCom or just are fed up with doing your schoolwork and need them to take a break with you.

8. Blasting music so loud that the neighbors yell at you through the walls

The neighbors might yell at you through the walls because it's 9 a.m. on a Saturday and you're blasting Christmas music, but it's not a surprise because you and your roommates are constantly blasting music with each other, just trying to have a good time.

9. Complaining to them about your problems

A roommate is like your own personal therapist at all times of the day, whether they like it or not. The best thing, though, is that they always listen to you vent and are there for you when you need them.

10. Never being bored with them

I know that there will be a point over winter break when I get bored and I will just think about how my roommates are the furthest thing from boring and I will miss them so much.

11. Stealing their clothes

When you have one of those nights when you don't like anything in your closet or just need a certain type of shirt to match the new pants that you got, you can always go shopping into your roommate's closet!

12. Having them get you food

Whether someone is sick and needs soup delivered, or someone is out in town and offers to get everyone food that isn't dining hall food, you're always appreciative when your roommate brings you back food.

13. Their support in your decisions (even the dumb ones)

Whether it is a good idea or maybe not your best idea, your roommates have your back and are there supporting you along the way.

14. Sharing all the gossip that you know with them

You find out the majority of your gossip when all of you are together. Someone hears something juicy and shares with the group and it's great.

15. Just them, being them

At the end of the day, you love all the memories that you and your roommates have made and you are thankful that you live with such crazy, amazing and caring people.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
