Dear Roommate,

First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you have an amazing day!

Instead of writing a million paragraphs talking about how awesome you are and how much I love you, I’m going to make a list of the top ten things I love about you.

Well, here goes:

1. Your laugh, because it makes my heart happy.

2. Your strength, dedication, and perseverance.

3. Your passion for teaching kids. I can't wait for you to be a teacher! I know you'll be amazing!

4. Your willingness to take a break for ice cream, YouTube videos, or a movie.

5. Your love for and closeness to your family. You have such an incredible relationship with them, and it's awesome.

6. Your love of leggings and for wearing them almost as much as I do.

7. Your love of food, especially ice cream. What would I do without my ice cream buddy?

8. Your love of kids' movies and rom coms. (I love that we can go see them together and it's not weird.)

9. Your love of crafting. I love creating artsy things with you.

10. Your acceptance of me, your crazy roommate. Thank you for always being there for me and supporting me.

I love you more than words can possibly express. Thanks for coming to Heidelberg and somehow finding me. I couldn't do any of this without you. You're not just my roommate, you're my best friend. Happy birthday to the girl who's the Mike to my Sulley. I love you, and have the best birthday ever!

Love,
Your Roomie

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
