To my beloved Republicans,
Let me start off by saying that I am a registered Independent. I have voted for Deomcrats and I've voted for Republicans. I do tend to lean more on the liberal end, but I can understand your perspective on many issues. Hell, I even agree with you on certain issues. However, this election isn't about party loyalty. This isn't about liberalism vs. conservatism. This election is about America's future and the image that we want to portray to the rest of the world. Do we want a mild tempered professional, or an unpredictable ticking time bomb?
I'm not going to sit here and tell you that Hillary Clinton is a saint, because she's far from it. I'm not going to sit her and defend her lack of judgement because I can't. But I can tell you that I judge a person's character off of their intentions. With that being said, I don't think Hillary's intentions are to screw America into the ground. I don't think she plans on pushing for legislation that will cripple everyday Americans. When I look at her, I do not see her husband's transgressions, I see a woman who has a track record of fighting for minorities, women, and children.
If you truly associate yourself with the party of Abraham Lincoln, and consider yourself to be a Ronald Reagan Republican, then I deeply discourage you from supporting Donald Trump. This man is dangerous, not only for America, but also for the rest of the world. I'm not going to sit here and list all of the ridiculous, racist , and sexist comments your candidate has made, because this article would be well over 2000 words.
The reality is, the conservative media outlets have put it in your mind that Hillary Clinton is the spawn of Satan when she actually isn't. No, she's not perfect and she doesn't always do things right, but I have yet to hear her propose any plans that would make Americans feel unwelcome in their own country. Children shouldn't feel bad when they hear their president on T.V talking about them. No citizen should.
I understand being tired of the establishment. I understand being tired of corrupt politicians not doing their jobs. I understand that you simply don't like Hillary Clinton. Believe me, she wasn't my first choice either. But none of that matters now. By casting your vote for Donald Trump, you are saying that you think it's 100% acceptable to call Mexicans rapists, drug dealers, and murderers. You are saying that it's acceptable for women to be called fat bigs, slobs, and dogs. You are saying it's acceptable for our constitution to be violated by keeping immigrants out. You are saying that it's acceptable for white supremacist groups to rise. You are saying that it's acceptable to not give a damn about the greater good of America just because you hate Hillary Clinton. That is completely unacceptable.
My fellow Americans, I encourage you to look deep into your hearts and ask yourself if this is the kind of America you want to live in. A country where Donald Trump doesn't give a sh*t about women, children, or minorities? That isn't my America and it shouldn't be yours either. I have to admit, I am sick and tired of hearing this racist on T.V every week saying something even more ridiculous than the week before. I deserve better, you deserve better, and America sure as hell deserves better.
At this point, there's one month until the election and I am done explaining to a lot of you why your candidate is a moron. Casting your vote for Donald Trump is equivalent to purchasing a one-way ticket to eternal damnation. Just because you dislike Hillary doesn't mean you have a right to screw over the rest of America by giving us the joke that is Donald Trump.
So please, I beg of you, be smart about your vote. I know everything he's saying sounds good, but he doesn't have the experience or the intelligence to be the President of the United States. Mexico is not paying for a wall. Muslims cannot be banned from our country. He's not going to negotiate down our debt. He does not know more about ISIS than the generals. Climate change is not a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese (this one makes me laugh every time). All black people are not living on one street in Chicago where they're going through hell. The list can go on and on.
You and I both know that when you truly compare the two candidates, the choice is obvious. On November 8th, please make the right choice.
Sincerely,
A Pissed Off and Concerned American
