Dear future husband,

I want to start by saying that I've prayed for you for a long, long time. I've prayed for you even though I may not have met you yet, or know that you're my Mr. Right. You should know that I pray for you, your heart, for our future, and even my calling as your future wife.

I pray that you love God first. I pray that your heart may be lost in His word and His promises. I pray that your relationship with the Lord is strong and a path you wish to follow that can lead us together.

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."
Proverbs 4:23 [NIV]

I pray that you will be the leader that God has called you to be in your own life, but also in our future family. I pray that you will always be driven to follow God's call, even if it is well out of your comfort zone.

"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for herto make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—for we are members of his body."
Ephesians 5:25-30 [NIV]

I pray that together we can be the hands and feet of Jesus. I pray that we can lead others to Christ through our words and our actions. I pray that we will go when we are called.

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”"
Isaiah 6:8 [NIV]

I pray that I may be the wife that I am called to be. I pray that I could be the wife that you have dreamed of over the years. I pray that God guides me as your wife and shows me how to lead you. I pray that I can be your best friend for the rest of your life.

Proverbs 31

I pray for you.

Love,
Your future wife

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

107
Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
