Mom and Dad, what can I even begin to say? Thank you so much for everything you have ever done and continue to do for me. It is crazy to believe that in just one month I won't be living at home anymore. Time truly does go by in a blink of an eye.

First off, Dad. Thank you for all your patience, love and hardwork through the years. I wouldn't even be able to go to college if it wasn't for that. You loved me unconditionally through the good and the bad. You always showed me what love for a daughter was and you are the epitome of what hard work and the American Dream really is. Thank you for showing me that if I want something I have to go work for it.

Mom, thank you for attempting to show me how to cook even when I don't want to learn. Thank you for letting me cry and vent about the smallest things and just listening. Thank you for always encouraging me and believing for the best in me. Your endless support has meant so much to me.

Dad, thank you for driving 8 hours back and forth just so I could attend Orienation and just to see my college. Thank you for sticking it through me and learning new things for my benefit. Thank you for teaching me its okay to venture out of my comfort zone to achieve my goals.

Mom, thank you for reassuring me everything will be okay and that I am going to be the best Doctor there is one day, it keeps me going and motivated.

To the both of you, thank you for believing in my abilities and for trying so many new things this past year. As me being the first kid to go to college I know its a lot and I didn't make it easy by picking a college 8 hours away, but thank you for praying with me through it and in the long run supporting my choice to go through with it. You guys have allowed me to see that blood, sweat and tears can and will win at the end of thed day.

As this chapter closes, I am so excited for the new chapter. I am going to miss homecooked meals, and being able to complain and see you guys everyday and just the simple pleasures I have at home, but I am looking forward to the new adventures I will be able to tell you guys through phone calls, texts and FaceTime.

So again, thank you Mom and Dad. This is for you. Without you I couldn't have made it this far.

Love,

Your little girl

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
