Dear Group Chat,

Thank you for keeping me updated with the latest drama.

Although some of us may be hundreds of miles apart, it’s always a good time gossiping about the latest drama. Without the group chat, I would probably only know a quarter of the things I do now.

Thank you for sending embarrassing photos.

Whether it’s a fat baby picture from 1997 or an awkward selfie from 2012, thank you for always giving me a good laugh no matter what time of the day.

Thank you for helping me with my problems.

What would a group chat be if you didn’t send awkward conversations with that guy you love in need of a good response? Thank you for always knowing what to say.

Thank you for always liking my Instagram photos.

Thank you for always giving me your honest opinions about pictures and whether they’re Instagram worthy. Without the group chat, I would probably have nine fewer likes and comments on every selfie than I do now.

Thank you for never judging me.

No matter how stupid something is that I do or say, thank you for never judging me (harshly). I can always count on the group chat for support no matter what it's about.

Thank you to that one person who always answers.

It's most definitely awkward when you say a funny joke and nobody decides to respond. Thank you to that one person that will respond "LOL" just to make me feel better.

Thank you for always filling me in on what I missed.

I'll never understand why, but it always seems that when something crazy happens I'm busy and unable to read the chat. Thank you for always letting me know whats going on four hours later when I respond "WHAT."

Thank you for never getting mad when I go on 3 a.m. rants.

For some odd reason, I always seem to be the only person in the group chat awake all hours of the night. Thank you for listening and reading my sixteen messages about pretty much nothing in the morning.

Lastly, thank you for always keeping the conversation going.

In the past year and a half, there hasn’t been a single day where someone hasn’t written in the group chat. Things just wouldn’t be the same without non-members of the group chat around me wondering why my phone won’t stop vibrating.

Ultimately, life just wouldn’t be the same without the group chat. Thank you for being the greatest group of friends there is.
