My father being a 43-year-old husband, father, and pastor, it has not been easy this past year. I saw the struggles, the frustrations, and cries out to the Lord for strength. But, I am proud to say a big congratulation to my father, who graduated from a Theology Masters Program. He has worked so hard toward this program, to making sure he graduated and pushing forward to God's promise. My father has gone through so much this past year, and God knows many of them was to prepare him for this moment of his life. In honor of my father graduating this past weekend, I wanted to write a short but really sentimental letter, showing him I love him and how proud I am.
Dear Papi,
Thank you for being a great example to me, Sarah, and EJ. I've watched you work so hard for your Master’s degree, and this weekend you were able to graduate with it. My feelings are beyond what words can describe. You were a miracle. You were able to receive a Bachelors and Masters in as little as four years, because your faith in God was so strong. You have shown me that anything is possible when God is the center of your life.
I can not wait to see what God has for you next. Now that you have a Masters, you have no clue how many doors God will open for you. Not only will you work in FedEx, but I have faith that you will work in Colleges, Universities, and Seminars. I believe that you will be much more than what people have said for you to be. I know for a fact that you will see many more miracles in your life, and God will continue to amaze you.
It was so exciting to see you graduate, when I was a graduate just last year, and you were jumping up and down on the bleachers screaming my name. Thank you for showing me that I am capable of going beyond my Bachelors Degree. And, that I can do it, that I can write a 60-page thesis! A 60-page thesis is not easy, but you did it! I saw you up so many times at 5:30 in the morning, always working on your thesis and dedicating your self to getting your Masters. I love those days when I get home from work and you all ready to ask me a theological question. You are who I look up to, and maybe one day I'll decide to get a Masters in Theology
You are motivated and determine to be a better version of your self, and that I am proud of. All my life you have been one of my motivators, telling me that I can do anything I put my mind to. So here I am doing the same thing. Congratulations papi, I am so proud of you and your accomplishments! And go for that PhD!
With so much love,
Your daughter Maggie
