Cheers to those who keep our roads safe.

You know who you are, parked perfectly between the lines, leaving enough room for me to safely park and exit my car.

You know who you are, patiently waiting in your lane despite the antics of the drivers around you, even when people (cough, me) make last minute lane changes.

You know who you are, moving cautiously through parking lots, aware of potential pedestrians and oncoming cars.

You know who you are, coming to a full and complete stop at stop signs. You, who lightly brakes as you approach the sign, allowing the drivers behind you the time to react. You, who actually yields, pausing to look for oncoming cars when road signs instruct you to do so.

You know who you are, safely slowing for yellow lights, giving plenty of warning to the drivers behind you. You, who respects the other drivers, aware that you aren’t the only one on a tight schedule.

You know who you are, focused on the task of driving. You, eliminating distractions and keeping your eyes and mind on the road and cars around you.

You know who you are, glancing at your mirrors before changing lanes. You who maintains situational awareness and a full command of your vehicle.

You know who you are, courteously allowing panicked drivers to enter your lane and cross in front of you, no matter how slow traffic is moving.

You know who you are, disposing of trash after you’ve reached your destination. You, who avoids littering and is respectful of the roadways (#DontMessWithTexas).

You know who you are, driving the optimal speed for the road conditions. Thank you for driving the speed of traffic, without trying to be “first.” Thank you for not dawdling, for confidently and smoothly executing lane changes and turns.

You know who you are, you’re a talented and capable driver. Thank you, you beautiful human, for the blessing you are on the road.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
