Dear lucky girl(s),
Congratulations! You have met one of the greatest girls on the entire planet. I know you were scared going into college with the fear of not meeting genuine, fun, and caring new people but you are one of the lucky few in the world who have met my best friend.
To start, I have already heard everything about you. I basically know your life story, so if I ever meet you, don't get startled by the fact that when you are telling me about yourself, I have heard it all. I have also heard all of the drama, awkward encounters with boys, and funny nights of trying to piece together the night before.
A couple things to keep in mind about my best friend:
She is the most genuine person you will ever meet. She is the type of girl that loves to go out and have fun, but she also loves to just sit and talk about everything and nothing for hours. If you ever have a problem, you're feeling homesick, or just need someone to confide in, she is your girl. She never takes it as a burden that you are talking to her because she genuinely cares about everyone she meets.
My best friend is also the girl who can kickstart any party. She is the girl who sings and dances and invites everyone to join in. She is never shy in making new friends. During the parties though, she makes sure that everyone is safe and having a good time. This is because she has the biggest heart. She truly loves people and wants to make sure no one is having a bad night. If someone is, she takes them aside or takes them home and talks to them until they are feeling better.
It is hard to find someone like that.
So I will leave you with this-- hold on to her. People come and go, but my best friend is one in a million. Keep her close and don't let her go. Always have her back, because she will always have yours. Congratulations again on finding an amazing friend. These four years are about to filled with love and fun because of her.
Love,
Your friend's best friend
