Dear Coffee,

Thank you for everything you do for me; you mean so much to me. I have only known you for a few years now. But even in that short amount of time, you have shown me what it means to truly feel alive.

Thank you for your dedication. You show your loyalty to me by supplying me with that instant pick-me-up that I need in the middle of my day. I know I can fall back on you in any situation and you never fail to be there for me. I can honestly say I would not make it through most classes without you by my side. Your dedication to me is astounding, and my devotion to you is everlasting.

Thank you for your support. You have supported me through my 8 a.m. classes, countless nights staying up late to study for exams, and those dreary, rainy days when I just don't want to get out of bed. You are so strong, stronger than I could ever be without you. Whether I am tired or stressed or grumpy, you accept me for all that I am, and you always end up lifting my spirits.

Thank you for your comfort. No matter what mood I am in, you encourage me. When I am sad, I cozy up to you and you warm my heart, and I know everything will be okay. When I am excited, you cheerfully celebrate with me. When I am lost and confused in this big world, you provide a safety for me; I know I can always turn to you.

Thank you for your love. When I was first introduced to you, I was nervous and afraid. I didn't know if I was able to handle your strong personality. But after giving you a second chance and experimenting with you, I have come to find that you are the perfect combination of cheerfulness, sass, warmth, bitterness, and true love. A best friend really.

Coffee, you have shown me how to live and experiment with the flavors of life. The possibilities with you are endless, and you always keep me intrigued. Hazelnut, peppermint mocha, nutty caramel, French vanilla. Dark, light, medium roast. Whatever I am in the mood for, you always exactly what I need. You are the perfect partner-in-crime, the most excellent accessory to go with any outfit, the best wingman on a first date. You make me feel good and alive and like I am truly myself when I am with you. You are my favorite, and I am thankful for everything you have done and will continue to do for me in the future.

Love, A Severe Caffeine Addict

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
