Dear Best Friend,

When I think of you I picture myself running through a field of blue liliy's, I think of you when I'm at my highest and missing you when I'm at my lowest. You're the person I would come running to in a heartbeat over a heartbreak. The person I can call at any hour of the day just to hear your voice. The only thing I think of when I think of home, is your welcoming smile in the front door with open arms. The one person I love more than myself.

I pray everyday that I grow up someday to be even half the woman that you are. I could never thank God enough for everything you've done for me and everything you continue to do for me. I've never met someone so loving and pure and so full of life. You encourage me everyday to strive to be the best version of myself. You're my person.

You never fail to fill my day with pure happiness, joy, and love. I can't wait to watch you continue to grow and to add more beauty to this already beautiful world. You'll always without a doubt help me see the good in even the worst of situations. You'll always be my light in a dark room. I hope that everyone has someone like you in their life because that bond would be an unforgettable gift.

I love you Mom!

Love always, Haley

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
