To my best friend,

Since the day we met I knew that we were going to be life long friends. You have made my life so much easier and enjoyable. So I just want to say thank you for everything you have done for me.

You have truly been there for the up's and downs, high's and lows, and trials and tribulations. You are the only person in my life that has chosen to stay when times got tough. No matter what time it is, you always make yourself available to me. You give me the best advice and never leave me helpless. You always go out of your way to keep me smiling and always catch me when I fall. I will always appreciate the late night phone calls where you let me vent about all my problems, and listen to every word I say. You have seen me at my absolute worst and still remain by my side. I will forever be indebted to you.

Thank you for keeping me on my path to success and believing in me. You make it your duty to see me succeed. I always feel supported by you. Nights where I feel like I cannot take all the stress of school or work you remind me of my greater goals. You constantly push me to be my best and help me in any way you can. Although, sometimes you can also be my greatest distraction, but in the best type of way.

You are that friend who is always down to get down. It seems like no matter what we do; whether it is staying in bed watching Netflix, or going downtown and staying out till 3 A.M. we always have a great time. You never fail to catch me off-guard with spontaneous plans. We make the best memories together, and I will never forget them.

Lastly I want you to know that I appreciate the type of person you are. You have the most unique personality. You're a mix of sweet and sassy. You never fail to make me laugh with your crazy comebacks and sarcasm. You're never afraid to be blunt with me and tell me how it is. You are honest, sincere, and most importantly loyal. You always have my back and I hope you know I have yours too.

So to my best friend, I will never be able thank you enough for simply being you. Without you I would definitely be lost. Becoming friends with you has been the best decision I have made. I can't wait for more memories to be made and more years of friendship to come.

Thank you for being my person.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
