Move-in day is right around the corner. Sic'em! No matter where you are coming from, you all will find a home here at Baylor.

The very first people you will get to meet are the very friendly move-in crew. They will handle the worst part about moving in, all of your boxes that carry pieces of back home. Whether it's raining or sunny, they will be there to doing all the heavy lifting. According to the weather report, it's supposed to be raining all week. Sic'em!

After you get all set-up in your room, you will meet your roommate (maybe even for the first time!). After your parents are all done helping you get settled in, it's time for them to leave. You thought you were ready to say goodbye, but it's just a little hard to look at them in the eyes. You awkwardly hug it out and say your goodbyes.

But don't worry, you won't be sad for long because Welcome Week is about to start. Welcome Week at Baylor is where you will get to know other people who are new to Baylor. It's time to make some friends. With the guidance of your Welcome Week Leaders, you will get to know the ins and outs of Baylor. You will get to know which dining halls are the best (cough cough Memo), but we can forget Penland for Wing Wednesday. Sic'em!

Next, you will get to know where your classes are. Baylor has a pretty big campus, so if you're not used to walking or sweating a lot, it might be a bit tough at first. But don't fret because Baylor has got that all covered. You will be walking around so much during your first few days here that you will basically have the campus memorized. Sic'em!

That's not the only thing Baylor has prepared for you. During Welcome Week, you will get to know the true spirit of what it means to be a Baylor Bear. We are a community oriented group of people who show southern hospitality like no other. Sic'em! Welcome Week leaders volunteer their time to go through training and to better serve you on your first few days on campus. The move-in crew are also here on campus early to help you guys. We want you guys to know that we are excited to have you here and that we can't wait to get to know you guys.

Oh, and all of the Sic'ems you saw throughout the article..well, they were intentional. You know you have fully become a Baylor Bear when you say "Sic'ems" like you say "yes". You guessed it, you will be saying "Sic'em" all the time.

Now you have the run down of what your first few days at Baylor is going to be like.

Get ready to have fun, and most importantly-

Sic'em Bears!

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.

I am without a doubt one of those people who refuses to start decorating for Christmas or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has become an underrated holiday over the years. You barely see any Thanksgiving decorations in stores; it's like they skip right from Halloween to Christmas.

Here are some ideas as to what you can do to get the most out of your Thanksgiving break.
