I am writing this article for those who feel as if they are unable to handle one more day. This is for you, the ones who fight, day after endless day, relentlessly hunting for the will to live. I know how hard it is, I know how tired you must feel. Every day you are begging for peace, just one moment of feeling as if the world is not crashing around you. I know how easy it seems to just let go, to just say goodbye, clocking out of life forever, but I need you to think about a few things first. I want to bring a few things to your attention that have very likely been pushed to the back of your mind by this insurmountable desire to die.

First I want to congratulate you. I am so thankful that you are still here today, reading this letter. I know you have been fighting for your life, and right now, you are winning. Even when you feel as if you cannot survive one more day trapped within this hell your mind has become, by stopping to read this, you are winning. There is no tougher opponent to battle than your own mind, for your mind will always seem to have the upper hand. It does not matter how much pessimism you greet each day with, as long as you are around to greet each day.

Secondly, I want to make you a promise, I want to share a secret with you. No matter how ominous the days ahead appear to be, I am here to inform you that these storm clouds will not be around forever. One day soon, the sun is going to shine on your face and you will always have a reason to smile. I have complete faith that blessings are coming your way, as long as you are willing to wait for them. Jeremiah 29:11 reads "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares The Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.'" Whether you are a believer or not, I feel that this fully applies to each of our lives. You were born to serve a purpose. Though you may not be aware of this purpose now, it remains. By taking your own life, you lose the ability to witness the plan for which God has so carefully hand-crafted for your life. Whether you are a believer or not, it is not coincidence that you stumbled across this letter.

Finally, I will leave you with one last thought. If you are looking for a reason not to end your life, let this be it. Let this letter be something to which you can hold fast until you find another good thing to hold on to. I know they come so far and few between, so I am praying that this article is something you are able to reflect on the next time you do not think you can survive one more second in this life. I love you and I believe in you, so keep on fighting because one day you will look back and be thankful that you hung around.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
